Three strands of work: measuring what noninvasive stimulation does from inside the brain, building the platforms that test it, and designing the tasks that make an effect visible.

Temporal interference stimulation with concurrent intracranial recording

Temporal interference aims to reach deep brain structures from electrodes on the scalp, without surgery. This project tests whether it actually does, in epilepsy patients whose implanted clinical electrodes can measure the answer directly.

2022–present

The Emory Multimodal Learning Test, ported to virtual reality

A gamified memory test that ran on a screen has been rebuilt as a virtual environment, with eye, body, and physiological signals recorded alongside behaviour. It is the project framed around what was built rather than what was found.

Neuropsychological task development for epilepsy populations

A stimulation study is only as good as the task it is measured with. This strand designs and validates cognitive tasks for memory, language, and executive function that hold up in a hospital room and on a monitoring unit's schedule.
